MISSION
The Los Angeles Economic Development Corporation partnered with Commune to reimagine its Annual Report. The organization needed to compile vast amounts of economic data into a compelling narrative that highlighted both accomplishments and opportunities for the year. Historically, the report lived primarily as a dense print document, limiting accessibility and impact. LAEDC sought a partner to help transform the data into a clear, engaging, and shareable story across a variety of new formats.
METHOD
Commune built a multi-channel strategy that combined clear narrative, bold design, and video storytelling.
MAGIC
By putting video storytelling at the center, LAEDC’s Annual Report became more than a static recap of the year, it evolved into a living communications tool. Videos gave stakeholders an immediate, engaging way to understand the organization’s priorities, while the integrated design system kept everything connected under a unified brand. The result was a report that informed and inspired, amplifying LAEDC’s voice across channels and making economic development accessible to a broader audience.
